The Association has an executive management committee comprising a President, Vice-President, Secretary and two additional members.
| President | Dr Ruth Schmidt Neven Ruth is a child psychotherapist and psychologist and Director of the Centre for Child and Family Development in Melbourne. She was formerly inaugural Chief Psychotherapist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Originally from the UK Ruth trained at the Tavistock Clinic in London and was a pioneer in the UK in the field of parent education. She runs training programmes throughout Australia and overseas through the Child and Family Wellness Consultancy and is the author of Exploring Parenthood, Emotional Milestones, principal author of Rethinking ADHD and she is the author of Core Principles of Assessment and Therapeutic Communication with Children, Parents and Families, as well as various papers and articles on child and family development. |

Lorraine Rose is a psychologist and analytic psychotherapist who works in private practice in Sydney. She has a particular interest in early developmental processes and is the coordinator of the Infant Observation component of the Institute of Psychiatry. She has contributed to: “Sleep”: for baby and family, Ligare Book Printer, “ The Parents of Premature Infants,” (ed.) Norma Tracey, Whurr Publishers, and written the book, “Learning to Love”; the developing relationships between mother, father and baby during the first year. |

| Secretary | Dr. Jacinta Coleman Jacinta is a paediatrician who is currently head of Adolescent Medicine at Monash Medical Centre. Having completed two years of additional training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Jacinta has also worked in private practice with a developmental behavioural focus having a particular interest in Infant Psychiatry |
